Orpheus & Eurydice
A Production by THE TRIP, San Diego, 2014
Through a blend of online content, live performance, and film, our theater company, THE TRIP, adapted the Orpheus and Eurydice myth in two parts. First, the lovers' relationship unfolded through a pre-production web series. Viewers saw the characters fall more and more in love until finally, unable to bear the distance any longer, they agreed to meet in the flesh—actually, to get married! Their wedding, and the rest of their story, was then staged as a live party performance.
